For most of us walking is about the countryside.  However there is nothing better than suddenly stumbling across a town which serves beer and chocolate after a good long hike.

Within this section you will get a walkers perspective on the Border towns that serve as start and finish points for many of our walks and often provide the base for walking holidays.
