Stuart has been walking the Scottish hills for the last 35 years and knows the Border hills as well as anybody. He has walked extensively in the Himalayas, the French Alps and the Pyrenees.
For the last 7 years he has been a member of the Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue Team and is also a dog handler with the Search and Rescue Dog Association (Scotland).
He holds a Summer and Winter Mountain Leaders Award as well as Bike Trail Leaders Award and qualified first aider.
Stuart now owns and manages the company "Border Walking" which, in addition to the work it does to promote walking in the Scottish Borders, also offers guided walks and walking holidays throughout the region.
Hmm...perhaps he enjoys the outdoors?
