This site is a living guide to walking in the Scottish Borders. It has been created by Border Walking, which is a company, run by Stuart Ruffell and offering guided walks and walking holidays around this region of Scotland.
The aim is to run this site as the definitive resource for those interested in walking in the Borders whether you are a serious walker or just enjoy a stroll after a good Sunday lunch.
Our intention is to share rather than horde our knowledge of the area. We appreciate that many people will use this knowledge to organise their own walks which may seem to be a bit illogical for a company that makes a living out of guiding walkers.
We like to think of a walk without a guide being a bit like going to the cinema and not hearing the sound track. However there will always be those that will prefer to do things independently. Equally though, there will always be those, as we hope you are, that enjoy the company and reassurance that a professional guide can bring.
If we can help promote walking in the Borders at the same time as promoting our business, then frankly we are delighted to do so.
